Matching Radius, Elliptical or
Rectangular Transom Available.
An entry door with sidelights
and transoms was needed to updated the home's 1970's look
giving more light
into the split entry foyer. The original solid door
and plain heavily textured glass sidelights and transoms
dated the home and made the foyer and living room dark and
gloomy. A new mahogany entry door and sidelights were
designed to custom sizes to fit the original entryway jamb. The jamb
was painted white on the exterior to match the existing
exterior trim and covered in mahogany on the interior to
compliment the owners beautiful living room blending with
their furniture and interior decorating. The
entry door glass was designed with a center bevel in the door with a
contrasting border. The arched top glass opening of
the entry door visually broke up the rectangular look of the
entryway and provided a beautiful focal point. Coordinating
sidelights and transom panels flood the entry with light.
Waterglass used in the background provides privacy and the
single glue chip borders add interest and a feathery look.
The entry door and sidelight design is visible throughout the split entry with the
transoms taking center stage from the kitchen, living room
and hallway. A cylinder lockset in
lifetime brass finish finished the look and matched the
entry foyer light fixture.
